Fall Wedding Colors
Many brides today are choosing an autumn wedding. Colors are so bright and beautiful, it is no wonder they would want to choose that time of year. Fall wedding colors will be easy to choose and fun to wear for a casual wedding. When considering planning a fall wedding, think of holding your event outdoors, if possible or somewhere that people can see the beautiful foliage of fall will be perfect.
With off whites and creams being the wedding colors for fall, the perfect wedding attire for the bride is cream or off-white dresses with gold accents and beading. Bridesmaids will look wonderful in beige or tan colored dresses. Fall weather can change at the drop of a hat from warm to chilly so the bridesmaids may want to wear shawls, capes or jackets in the case of cooler temperatures. They will be comfortable with their sleeveless dresses in the heat and yet be prepared for the dropping temperature of a fall evening.
Some other suggestions for fall wedding colors are yellow gold, greens and browns. When you are thinking of what colors are best for an autumn wedding, picture in your mind what the outdoors looks like in the fall. The picture that you conjure in your mind will make great autumn colors for a wedding. If you have your wedding outdoors, you may choose to have your meal on picnic tables decorated with earth tone colored ribbons and bells.
Centerpieces of pumpkins, cornucopias and squash not only are great to look at, but also will allow you to stay with the same autumn color scheme of the wedding. Filling these with dried flowers or leaves and topping with grapes will make some unique centerpieces for the tables. Mums are usually in full bloom in the fall and come in all the best autumn colors. These will make awesome bouquets or additions to the centerpieces. You may wish to have little snacks and appetizers in small plastic pumpkins on the tables.
You can use these same fall wedding color ideas when making your wedding invitations. Cream or tan colored stock paper with orange, brown or green leaves or Capricorns will make unique invitations. Another great idea is an actual autumn photograph on the front of your invitation. If you wedding is going to be held outdoors, put this on the invitation so your guests can dress accordingly. Your guests will want to stay longer if they are comfortable.
