You can buy wedding rings and wedding ring sets at WalMart, Shopko, JC Penney, you can go to an exclusive jewelry store or you can even purchase wedding rings online. One difference you may find when purchasing at retail or discount stores is your warranty. You probably won't find as good as a warranty as you would at a jewelry store. In addition, you can have your wedding rings sized at a jewelry store, whereas, in many discount or retail stores, you can only get what they have available and they usually only carry the most common sizes.

Wedding rings come in different types of materials depending again on cost and personal preference. You can get titanium, sterling silver, white gold, yellow gold, Black Hills gold or silver. The thickness of the bands can be 10k, 14k or 24k or more. Jewelry stores will also give you appraisals on the worth of rings based on what they are currently going for on the market.

Most men just wear wedding bands, whereas women wear diamond rings, usually an engagement and wedding ring bonded together. The women's ring set will commonly cost much more than the mans because of the diamonds. There are different qualities of the cut of diamonds you get with the better ones coming from jewelry stores. Most people will say that the size of the diamond has no bearing on the love they feel for each other too. There is much truth to this as years ago women only wore simple gold bands for wedding rings.

The price of the ring shouldn't make a difference, but if you're paying money for a diamond ring, you should be assured that you are paying for good quality and something that will last forever.
